OtterBox today sent a press release announcing a brand-new series of cases for iPhone Fives, 5c, and 5 models with water-resistant security along with full Touch ID support.

The Preserver Series cases seem the descendants of the LifeProof case following OtterBox’s acquisition of that business earlier this year.

The business claims the cases are fully submergible to 6.6 feet for 30 minutes, and shields against drops up to 6.6 feet.

‘About 70 percent of the Earth’s surface area is covered in water, and innovation is nearly as pervasive,’ said OtterBox CEO Brian Thomas. ‘We take our smartphones with us all over, and OtterBox is committed to making these activities as worry-free as possible. The Preserver Series is trustworthy, seriously water-proof defense that you can trust.’

The two-piece case snaps together for easy installation. It flaunts a solid plastic frame lined with device-cradling foam and overmolded bumpers to take in and deflect shock away from the device inside. The built-in display protector guards the dynamic screen from scratches without inhibiting touch sensitivity.

The Preserver Series for iPhone 5s and 5c will be offered quickly for $89.95. Notice sign-ups are readily available from OtterBox’s site.

Preserver Series cases for the iPhone 5 are currently delivering in four colors for $89.95, but they don’t consist of Touch ID support.
