Felix Paul Kuehne, lead developer for the iOS as well as OS X version of preferred video clip gamer application VLC, has confirmed that VLC for iOS must be offered again soon in the iOS App Shop. The application will certainly be returning after a practically four-month lack from the iOS platform.
VLC for iOS inexplicably went away from the iOS App Store complying with the release of iOS 8 in September of this year. VLC did not comment on the removal, simply explaining that it was ‘dealing with Apple on an option’ to bring VLC back into the Application Store. After several months of silence, the business revealed in early December that it was releasing a semi-public TestFlight beta test of the upgraded variation of the app.
Addressing a current complaint about the application still not being readily available, Kuehne created in a VLC forum blog post that, ‘It will be once again, yet possibly very early following year as a result of the iTunes Link vacation shutdown.’ He added Twitter that the app will be back ‘With any luck fairly soon.’ VLC recently launched the TestFlight beta 2 variation of VLC for iOS 2.4.0 with a handful of improvements. Based on Kuehne’s comments, quickly every person, not simply beta testers, will be able download the version as a new application or an upgrade for variations downloaded before the application was removed from the Application Store.
